Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Bookkeeper/Accountant to join our small firm. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a wide range of accounting functions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards for multiple clients. Must have experience in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Payroll, and reconciliations. Applicant must have experience with QuickBooks and Microsoft Products. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded using accounting software such as QuickBooks, and Microsoft platforms. Perform bank reconciliations and account reconciliations to verify the accuracy of financial data. Prepare and process journal entries, ensuring proper debits and credits in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing and payment tracking. Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and general ledger accounting to ensure financial statements are correct and complete. Payroll processing, tax filings, and governmental reporting. Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles. Strong proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, Microsoft Programs Knowledge of GAAP standards and double-entry bookkeeping principles. Familiarity with technical accounting concepts including journal entries, account analysis, bank reconciliation, and general ledger reconciliation. Excellent understanding of debits & credits, journal entries, accounts payable/receivable processes, and payroll management. Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail. Basic typing skills (10 key) for data entry accuracy.
