Staff Accountant

We are looking for a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team on a contract basis in Everett, Washington. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate financial reconciliations and establishing efficient processes to support the organization's financial operations. Responsibilities:

• Perform detailed account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Review and adjust beginning balances in financial systems to ensure consistency and reliability.
• Collaborate with the accounting team to implement monthly reconciliation processes and improve efficiency.
• Utilize financial systems such as Infor and potentially Sage to support reconciliation tasks.
• Document and establish clear processes for financial reconciliations, ensuring they can be effectively handed off to the internal team.
• Assist with journal entries and ensure proper recording of financial transactions.
• Provide guidance and support to team members on reconciliation tasks and system usage.
• Address discrepancies and resolve issues to maintain the integrity of financial data.
• Work closely with senior accountants and the accounting manager to delegate and streamline tasks.
• Support the transition to improved financial reporting and compliance practices.
