You will be responsible for both payroll and accounts payable tasks. You will coordinate with HR for employee benefit administration and to assist with recruiting. The ideal candidate will have a blend of accounting and payroll experience; however, the team is willing to train on some processes. The temporary timeline will be short as the manager is looking for someone who will be a long-term fit.
Responsibilities:
Process full-cycle payroll for multi-state employees, ensuring accurate and timely payroll runs Review payroll data for discrepancies, including wages, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including tax filings and reporting Reconcile payroll accounts, including payroll liabilities, benefits, and general ledger postings Prepare and review payroll journal entries Maintain employee payroll records Process accounts payable invoices invoices Prepare the daily cash reports and assist with month-end close tasks
Experience:
Three or more years of payroll/accounting experience, preferably in a multi-state environment Strong understanding of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance requirements Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, Workday, or similar platforms Proficiency in Excel, including reconciliations and data analysis High attention to detail with the ability to manage sensitive/confidential information Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
Pay Details:
