The ideal candidate with have over 3 years of experience of Accounting experience, strong QuickBooks knowledge and be able to work in a small team. Transportation/Logistics industry a plus. This is a full time, direct hire role that is fully onsite.

Transportation / Logistics Position Summary The Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing financial reports, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting efficient business operations. This role partners with leadership to provide financial insights, strengthen internal controls, improve processes, and support strategic decision-making. Core Responsibilities Accounting & Financial Reporting
  • Maintain the general ledger and prepare journal entries.
  • Complete account reconciliations and support month-end/year-end close.
  • Prepare financial reports and analyze results, trends, and variances.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP. Accounts Receivable & Payable
  • Manage invoicing, collections, customer deposits, and account reconciliations.
  • Process vendor invoices, maintain vendor records, and ensure timely payments.
  • Resolve billing and payment discrepancies. Cash Management
  • Monitor cash flow, perform bank reconciliations, and support banking activities.
  • Assist with cash forecasting and liquidity management. Management Reporting
  • Maintain management dashboards and reporting tools.
  • Prepare and distribute leadership reports.
  • Monitor KPIs, analyze variances, and improve reporting processes.
  • Support leadership meetings with accurate financial and operational data. Compliance & Process Improvement
  • Support audits, tax compliance, licensing, and regulatory filings.
  • Maintain internal controls and accounting procedures.
  • Identify and implement process improvements, systems enhancements, and best practices.
