Accounting Internship/Capstone Adjunct instructors are appointed quarter-to-quarter based on student enrollment. They teach classes on the days and in the modalities assigned by the College. Accounting classes may be scheduled for weekday mornings, evenings, or online. You may view accounting course descriptions , class schedules, and the college catalog on the College website. This is not a remote position. Applicants must reside in Washington State. ABOUT THE COLLEGE
Green River College's student body is made up of approximately 41% Academic Transfer students, 34% Professional-Technical students, 15% Adult Basic Education student, and 3% Applied Bachelor degrees. Green River College has four campuses, including the main campus in Auburn, Washington, with satellite campuses in Kent, downtown Auburn, and Enumclaw. Green River programs serve high school graduates, Running Start students (dual enrollment in local high schools and the college), those seeking retraining for the workforce, international students, students learning English, and Continuing Education students. Green River's service areas are increasingly ethnically diverse, comprising African Americans, African immigrants, Asian Americans, Asians, Latinx, Native Americans, Pacific Islanders, and Middle Eastern Americans, among other communities.

The adjunct instructor's secondary function is to facilitate appropriate operational policies and procedures of Green River College.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
For 100- and 200-level accounting classes: Bachelor's degree AND Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license; OR Bachelor's degree in accounting or a bachelor's degree in business administration with an accounting concentration AND Certified Management Accountant (CMA) credential; OR Master's degree in accounting For 300- and 400-level accounting classes: Master's degree in accounting or business administration; AND Active CPA license or CMA credential Degrees must be conferred by a regionally accredited college or university.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
CPA license, CMA credential, master's degree in accounting or business administration, two year's work experience in accounting, current experience using Excel and QuickBooks Online, successful teaching experience at the college level. Supplemental Information This is an adjunct faculty position. The salary will be determined according to the candidate's educational background, teaching experience, and applicable work experience as stipulated in the Green River College Agreement (contract bargaining agreement).
