Staff Accountant

Job DescriptionJob Description Staff Accountant SmartTalent Is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant with 1-3 years of accounting experience to support day-to-day financial operations within a fast-paced environment. This individual will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, performing regular bank and account reconciliations, and assisting with the month-end close process. The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive in identifying and resolving discrepancies, and communicates effectively with both internal teams and external vendors. Experience with QuickBooks and exposure to retail or multi-location accounting environments are a plus. • Record and reconcile daily revenue and sales activity
• Complete bank and account reconciliations on a bi-weekly and monthly basis
• Provide support during the month-end close cycle
• Ensure financial documentation is accurate, complete, and well-organized
• Assist in generating financial reports and related reconciliations
• Partner with internal departments and respond to vendor-related questions
• Proactively investigate and resolve any discrepancies

Qualifications Required:

• Associate degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent experience
• 1-3 years of recent experience in an accounting role
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software
• Hands-on experience with bank reconciliations
• Background in retail or multi-site accounting environments is a plus Core Competencies
