The Sr. Staff Accountant will play a crucial role in managing the financial aspects of capital projects, ensuring they align with corporate policies and financial objectives. The successful candidate will work closely with project managers to review staffing and purchase requests, ensuring budgets are properly managed and that all capital projects meet the necessary financial requirements. Overview of the
Sr Staff Accountant Role:
Collaborate with project managers to review and approve staffing and purchase requests for capital projects, ensuring compliance with budgetary guidelines. Ensure that all project budgets are in strict alignment with the company's capitalization policy. Oversee the reconciliation of capital spending, identifying and resolving discrepancies. Handle essential tasks during month-end and quarter-end closes, including the preparation of journal entries and financial reporting. Prepare detailed monthly forecasts for project spending and asset depreciation, providing key insights to support financial planning. Analyze and process intercompany transactions related to capital projects, ensuring accuracy and compliance. Perform thorough account reconciliations and financial analysis to support accurate and reliable financial statements. Preferred Experience for the Sr.
Staff Accountant :
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus. 3+ years of experience in accounting or a Staff Accountant role. Proficiency in financial software and strong Excel skills. Excellent analytical abilities and attention to detail. Timing is everything.
