Job Description

Hiring for Accountant in Seattle, WA (Onsite
  • 5 Days/Week

Months Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform month-end close activities including journal entries, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage and analyze large financial datasets (500K+ rows) using advanced Excel functions and reporting tools
  • Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data through detailed reconciliations and variance analysis
  • Support general ledger operations and accounting process improvements
  • Leverage AI tools and automation technologies to improve workflow efficiency and reduce manual effort
  • Develop and enhance AI-assisted accounting workflows and reporting solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including finance, accounting, and operations
  • Identify process gaps, recommend improvements, and implement scalable automation solutions
  • Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and ad hoc analyses for leadership
  • Maintain strong communication and provide proactive status updates on deliverables and deadlines
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting experience
  • Strong experience with month-end close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and GL management
  • Advanced Excel skills including VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, formulas, and large dataset management
  • Experience working with datasets containing 500K+ rows
  • Familiarity with Generative AI (GenAI) tools and AI-assisted workflow automation
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive and accountable work style
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Python, VBA, SQL, Power BI, Oracle, Hyperion Essbase, or similar tools
  • Experience building or improving accounting automation solutions
  • CPA certification preferred
  • Knowledge of GAAP and IFRS standards including lease accounting
