Job Description

POSITION SUMMARY
The Staff Accountant works directly with the Accounting Manager and Controller to complete both day-to-day accounting activities and the month-end close and reporting processes. This role balances core accounting functions, including general ledger account reconciliations and multi-platform cash management, with financial and compliance reporting duties. Additionally, this position provides cross-functional backup support to the corporate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable teams.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES

Month-End Close Support:
Assists the Accounting Manager and Controller with monthly corporate accounting close procedures.
GL Account Reconciliations:
Performs ongoing reconciliation and balancing of general ledger accounts to ensure accurate reporting.
Cash Management:
Executes daily cash management and bank reconciliations across multi-location company platforms.
Cross-Functional Team Support:
Provides reliable backup documentation and transactional assistance to the corporate Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable positions.
Document Control:
Follows strict company protocols to maintain the security and confidentiality of corporate documents.
Other Duties:
Performs other financial and administrative duties as assigned by department leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to meet the minimum qualifications listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job. Education /
Experience:
  • Four-year Accounting Degree required
  • Understanding of asset-versus-liability logic related to accruals, prepaids, expenses, inventory, and cost of goods sold. 1-3 years of accounting experience preferred
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, some ERP experience preferred
  • Solid fundamental understanding of interstate commerce transactions
  • Ability to work independently while thriving within a collaborative team setting
Pay:
$80.00 per year
