Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Project Accountant to join our team in Tacoma, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial aspects of assigned projects, including contract modifications, compliance monitoring, and payment processing. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the accuracy of project accounting while supporting the broader project team.
Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain project setups within the organization's accounting systems, including rate tables.
  • Analyze financial data to prepare accurate journal entries and document business transactions.
  • Assist project managers in creating project billings and managing accounts receivable collections.
  • Monitor subcontractor compliance and ensure adherence to contractual requirements.
  • Process subcontractor invoices and foster strong working relationships with vendors.
  • Reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable balances to ensure accuracy.
  • Review and reconcile project contracts and subcontracts to maintain alignment with financial records.
  • Provide support to project managers and coordinate project closeouts effectively.
  • Prepare detailed reports and review contracts to validate transactions before settlements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and recommend actionable solutions.
The salary range for this position is 80,000 to 95,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company's 401(k) plan with 4% match and 14 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.
