Job Description

General Summary:
Are you a dedicated and experienced Accountant seeking a rewarding career with an organization that truly values its people? Benton REA invites applicants to apply for a full-time Accountant role. The position will soon be permanently based out of our brand-new West Richland office opening in July 2026 (located near Keene and Van Giesen). Key Emphases:
The Accountant plays a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. This position supports the cooperative's financial health and contributes to strategic decision-making through timely and precise accounting practices.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Three (3) years of accounting experience. Or equivalent combination of education and experience that allows the incumbent to successfully perform the essential job functions.
Special Requirements:
Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Desirable Qualifications:
Master's degree in accounting or related field. Experience with annual organization-wide budget processes. RUS and FERC accounting practices and principles. Financial statement preparation and analysis. Strong team player. Forward thinking, with a drive towards process improvement, efficiency, excellence. Strong technical aptitude.
Compensation and Benefits:
