Staff Accountant - Exciting Opportunity in

$62,400 - $74,880 Our client, a recognized leader in their industry with a reputation for operational excellence and award-winning service, is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their dynamic finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented accounting professional looking to contribute to both day-to-day financial operations and strategic initiatives within a growing organization. As a Staff Accountant , you will play a key role in managing a blend of Accounts Payable (approximately 25% of your time) and General Ledger responsibilities. You will be responsible for maintaining accuracy and integrity across multiple financial areas, including overhead, accrued expenses, and fixed assets. This role also includes reviewing and approving data entry, processing invoices, and supporting weekly inventory tracking of approximately 60 items. As a Staff Accountant , you will work closely with cross-functional teams, providing critical insights into financial operations while ensuring compliance with internal controls and company policies. You will collaborate with colleagues to monitor GL accounts, assist with accruals, and support month-end and year-end close processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform AP, AR, and GL functions with accuracy and timeliness. Review, approve, and process invoices, ensuring proper documentation and coding. Monitor overhead, accrued expenses, and fixed assets with a technical and detail-oriented approach. Support weekly inventory tracking of approximately 60 items and reconcile discrepancies. Assist with journal entries, account reconciliations, and monthly financial reporting. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance with accounting policies and procedures. Provide analytical support for ad hoc financial reporting and departmental initiatives.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required. Strong experience with AP, AR, and GL processes; familiarity with fixed assets and accrual accounting. Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with system implementation is a plus. Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment. Bilingual skills or additional language proficiency is a plus but not required.
