Minimal (1-2 times per year) Staff Accountant (Inventory Exp. Req.) Description Our client in the manufacturing industry is looking for a Staff Accountant to add to their team just East of Green Bay, WI. In this role, you will support day-to-day accounting operations with a strong focus on month-end close, reconciliations, and general ledger activity. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of general accounting principles and experience related to inventory. To be successful, you must be analytical, detail-oriented, and proficient in Excel. Responsibilities Execute month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Investigate and resolve discrepancies across accounts and financial records Maintain accuracy and timeliness of all financial transactions within the general ledger Support inventory accounting including reconciliations, variance analysis, and standard cost Assist with inventory counts and ensure accurate transaction recording Support year-end audit activities by preparing schedules and providing documentation Maintain and update the chart of accounts to ensure proper classification of financial data Analyze financial statements and reports to ensure accuracy and compliance Monitor customer accounts and follow up on outstanding balances Leverage Microsoft Excel and the company systems to manage and analyze financial data Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, systems, and documentation Staff Accountant (Inventory Exp.
