This important role offers an exciting opportunity to join a fast-growing property management firm. Duties Manage the full cycle of property and condo management accounting, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations using accounting AppFolio software. Manage, direct, and mentor 3 or more accounting clerks in the accounting department. Prepare detailed monthly financial statements and reports for about 100 customers including Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement, and supporting reports. Conduct balance sheet reconciliations, account analysis, and journal entries to ensure accuracy in financial records. Perform cash flow analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis to support strategic decision-making for property portfolios. Support tax preparation activities by providing accurate data related to property income, expenses, and applicable deductions. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred. Extensive experience (minimum 5 years) in corporate accounting with a focus on property management or condo management environments. Proficiency in accounting AppFolio software highly desired. Deep understanding of GAAP principles, accrual accounting methods, double-entry bookkeeping, and financial report writing. Experience with financial analysis tools such as cash flow forecasting, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation processes and account reconciliation techniques. Demonstrated ability to mentor team members while managing multiple priorities effectively under tight deadlines.
