Job Description
Job Overview The Senior Accountant plays an important role in maintaining accurate financial reporting, supporting project teams, and ensuring strong internal controls. This position works closely with project managers, estimators, and leadership to support month end processes and uphold the integrity of company financial data. Duties Financial operations support including journal entries, reconciliations, and month end close activities Project financial analysis including WIP schedules, over and under billings, and profitability reviews Collaboration with project teams to review cost reports, forecast completion costs, and identify variances Compliance documentation review including lien waivers, COIs, bonding documents, and contract requirements Audit and tax preparation support for auditors, bonding companies, and tax advisors Process improvement initiatives to enhance job costing, billing, and financial controls Qualifications Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA preferred Three to five years of accounting experience ideally in construction or public accounting Knowledge of GAAP and job costing including WIP and percentage of completion methods Proficiency with accounting software and advanced Excel Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to identify financial risks Ability to sit for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 20 pounds If you are ready to advance your career and play a key role in maintaining accurate, high‑quality financial operations, we'd love to hear from you.
