Staff Accountant

Job Summary As a Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial operations of the company. You will be responsible for financial analysis, governmental accounting, double-entry bookkeeping, and assisting in forecasting financial trends. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage 100 is essential to excel in this role. Responsibilities

• Conduct financial analysis and reporting to management
• Prepare accurate and timely financial statements
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes
• Perform governmental accounting tasks
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts
• Payables
• Receivables
• Month end responsibilities
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulations
• Collaborate with the finance team on various projects Qualifications
• Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Proven experience working as an Accountant or in a similar role
• Strong knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping principles
• Familiarity with Sage 100 software
• Ability to prepare financial statements accurately
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
