Sr. Accountant

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Accountant to join a team in New Berlin, Wisconsin and provide hands-on support across critical accounting projects and close-cycle activities. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, works confidently with large volumes of financial data, and can help maintain accuracy during demanding reporting deadlines. The role will contribute across core accounting functions while partnering on project-based work that requires strong intercompany knowledge and advanced spreadsheet skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead key components of the month-end close process, ensuring financial activities are completed accurately and within established deadlines.
• Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining proper support and alignment with general ledger activity.
• Perform detailed account and bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and resolve outstanding items promptly.
• Support intercompany accounting tasks related to assigned projects, including analysis, balancing, and documentation.
• Work across Sage 50 and Oracle to review transactions, maintain accounting records, and assist with reporting needs.
• Analyze high-volume datasets in Excel to identify trends, validate balances, and support accounting decisions.
• Assist with project-driven accounting priorities that increase workload across the finance function.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure close deliverables and financial information are complete and reliable.
