Cost Accountant

Henry Repeating Arms is a family-owned firearms manufacturing company located in Rice Lake, WI. We are currently seeking a Cost Accountant to join our team! Qualified candidates will be responsible for accurate product costing and pricing by collecting and analyzing data about Henry's operational costs. They will also review services and goods, record data, and make recommendations about cost-efficient and financially feasible cost options. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Reviews bills-of-materials and routings to ensure correct material and labor processes. Develop labor and overhead rates by work center/department. Perform and review time studies. Reviews standard and current costs. Updates costs as needed. Reviews inventory product cost annually for year-end valuation. Determines final cost on manufactured products. Analyze changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or service to determine cost. Work with other team members (engineers and / or buyers) to determine proposed product costs. Systematic review of purchase price variances to ensure purchased product / services are valued properly. Active communication with the procurement/materials management group to discuss significant variances. Provide input on manufacturing-related capital project requests. Qualified candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance. Candidates must have 5+ years of Cost Accounting experience in a Manufacturing environment. INFOR experience is preferred. Candidate should have strong leadership/people skills, ability to manage time and prioritize work, and exceptional attention to detail. Salary is based on experience.
