Job Description
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Temporary Accountant to support their accounting and finance team. This individual will play a key role in assisting with month-end close activities, financial analysis, and ongoing accounting operations within a manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have strong Excel skills, prior manufacturing experience, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting. Responsibilities Provide accounting support for day-to-day finance operations Assist with month-end close activities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and reporting Analyze financial statements, including P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow statements Support ongoing operational accounting functions and process improvements Maintain and update accounting documentation and procedures Prepare and analyze financial data to support leadership decision-making Collaborate cross-functionally with operations and finance teams Assist with ad hoc reporting and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred Prior accounting experience required, preferably within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of financial statements and general accounting principles Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, and formulas Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
