Ready to Power a Smarter World with us? In the role of Senior Staff Accountant working onsite in Waukesha, Wisconsin you will be part of the Accounting GPS team. Under the direction of the Manager Accounting, the Senior Staff Accountant provides support for advanced financial functions including creating and posting journal entries, general ledger account reconciliation and analysis, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, fulfilling various internal and external audit requests, and financial reporting and analysis.
  • Month End Close Responsibilities
  • + Actively participate in month-end closing process by accurately and timely preparing complex account analysis and related journal entries.
+ Demonstrate ownership of elevated accounting processes including but not limited to: freight, leases, extended warranty amortization, deferred revenue amortization, and intercompany transactions. + Reconcile and understand the intricacies of various advanced general ledger accounts and prepare related supporting schedules. + Analyze OPEX financial statements and provide in-depth account level analysis on month over month and actual to forecast variances.
  • Project and Non-Close Responsibilities
  • + Assist with implementation or testing of new SAP or OneStream processes.
+ Interdepartmental collaboration and financial support. + Assist with various internal and external audits. + Create and maintain written processes and procedure documentation. + Focus on accuracy of work product with a drive towards continuous process improvement. + Assist Manager Accounting and Controller with moving Continuous Improvement projects forward. + Oversight of general ledger intern, their workload & provide coaching and instruction as needed. + Ownership of special projects and driving them to completion. + Other duties as assigned.
  • Minimum Job Requirements
  • Education
  • + Bachelor's degree in business administration, Accounting or Finance
  • Work Experience
  • + 5+ years of related experience
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • + Displayed knowledge of advanced accounting acumen. + Ability to consistently demonstrate written and verbal communication of analysis, trends, and accounting treatment to upper management. + Knowledge of Sarbanes Oxley, GAAP and FASB. + Goal-oriented and able to meet aggressive deadlines.

  • Work Experience
  • + Experience in SAP or similar ERP + Experience in OneStream + Technical experience in public accounting
  • Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • + Experience in AI Automation related to month end processes.
