Job Description

ACCOUNTING SUPERVISOR
Hensley Beverage Company is a multi-generational, family-owned, local Arizona beverage wholesaler that distributes a wide portfolio of beverages, including Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABI) beers, top selling local and regional craft beers, premium non-alcohol beverages, and an extensive assortment of award-winning fine wines and spirits. Position Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor oversees daily accounting operations across Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and General Ledger functions. This role ensures accuracy, compliance, and efficiency while supporting process improvement and team development. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:
  • Oversee daily Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable operations
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments
  • Manage supplier reconciliations, including promotions and billbacks
  • Support General Ledger activities including journal entries and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review financial reports and account analyses
  • Administer company credit card program and maintain internal controls
  • Assist with state and federal compliance reporting
  • Identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies
  • Support development of Shared Services initiatives
  • Train, mentor, and support accounting team members
  • Collaborate with internal teams to improve workflows and communication
  • Document and maintain accounting processes and procedures
  • Assist with departmental projects and additional duties as assigned
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant accounting experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Proactive, self-starter with a positive attitude
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience preparing reports, processes, and documentation
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
