Job Description

Position Summary:
The Accounting Supervisor serves as a critical financial leader within the Business Unit, responsible for overseeing the integrity and accuracy of financial reporting, maintaining the general ledger, leading the month-end close process, generating and preparing monthly financial statements and supporting operational financial performance. This role is designed as a high-growth position, initially operating as an individual contributor with the expectation to evolve into an Accounting Manager role with direct reports. The Accounting Supervisor partners closely with operations, project teams, and leadership to ensure strong financial controls, accurate job costing, and compliance within
U.S. GAAP.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and ensure timely and accurate processing of transactions and accounting data including bookings, billings, collections and payables
  • Perform account analysis and account reconciliations
  • Lead timely completion of month-end close process in compliance with US GAAP
  • Prepare financial statements including income statement, balance sheet and cash flow
  • Manage bank accounts and prepare weekly cash reports
  • Maintain depreciation and amortization schedules
  • Quarterly sales tax calculation, filing and remittance
  • Local business and property tax calculation, filing and remittance
  • Sales and PM commission calculations and processing
  • Assist with preparation of information required for fiscal year-end financial statement audit
  • Research and provide opinion on proper GAAP accounting treatment for new processes
  • Maintain knowledge of the standards, policies, practices and procedures of the generally accepted accounting principles. Keep a strong internal control environment
  • Maintenance of general ledger system and related accounting as required
  • Support implementation of a new ERP system
Qualifications:
Required:
  • CPA
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Strong technical accounting expertise, including: o Percentage of Completion revenue recognition o Cost accounting and job costing o General ledger and financial close processes
Preferred:
o 2 - 3 years of experience with Big 4 Public Accounting Firms o Experience in construction, project-based, or service-based industries o Familiarity with ERP systems (Spectrum or Viewpoint Vista) Skills & Competencies

Pay:
$100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
