Job Description

Position Summary We are seeking a professional and detail-oriented Accounting Receptionist to join our property management team. This position may serve as the first point of contact for residents, owners, vendors, and clients while also providing administrative and accounting support to the Financial Manager and Rent Department. The ideal candidate must be organized, dependable, customer-service driven, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a fast-paced office environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Reception & Customer Service Answer and direct incoming phone calls in a professional manner Respond to general inquiries regarding rents, payments, and account information Monitor and distribute incoming mail, emails, and office correspondence Accounting Support Assist the Financial Manager with daily accounting and administrative tasks Process and organize invoices, receipts, and financial documents Assist with data entry and account record maintenance Maintain organized electronic and physical filing systems Assist with deposits and payment tracking as needed Rent Department Support Assist the Rent Department with tenant communications and account follow-up Process rental payments and maintain accurate tenant records Help prepare notices, lease documents, and correspondence Support move-in and move-out administrative processes Coordinate with tenants regarding balances, payment arrangements, and general account questions General Office Duties Maintain office supplies and assist with office organization Perform scanning, copying, filing, and document management Support other departments as needed Maintain confidentiality of financial and tenant information Qualifications Previous receptionist, administrative, or accounting experience preferred Property management experience is a plus Strong customer service and communication skills Basic accounting knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping practices Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy office environment Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Professional appearance and demeanor Preferred Skills Experience with property management software such as AppFolio, Yardi, RentCafé or similar programs Ability to handle difficult situations professionally and calmly Strong problem-solving abilities and time management skills Schedule Full-time Monday through Friday 8am - 5pm Standard business hours
Pay:
$20.00 - $28.00 per hour
