POSITION
Purchase of Service Supervisor (Exempt/Non-Bargaining Unit Position)
LOCATION
Redding Office HOURS:
Full Time Position (39 hours per week)
SALARY & BENEFITS
$39.78 - $51.71 per hour. Complete package of fringe benefits including Vacation, Sick Leave, and Health Insurance, 17 paid Holidays, and CalPERS Retirement. Travel allowance for fieldwork.
JOB SYNOPSIS & QUALIFICATIONS SUMMARY
A management position responsible for hiring, training and supervising staff engaged in Purchase of Service Accounts Payable activities, including processing of vendor invoices, credit/debit memos, rate changes and authorizations. Reviews and/or approves staff work product in compliance with policies, procedures and established guidelines, ensuring that accurate and current authorization and payment processing occurs each month. Conducts employee performance evaluations, recommends corrective training, implements disciplinary action. Supervises adjustments to authorizations for increases/decreases in service, consumer revenue and rate adjustments; audits authorization entries to assure accuracy/compliance with law. Consults with staff and/or other supervisors on a variety of issues including difficult and complex billing problems. Supervises/audits/assists with check processing. Coordinates year-end rollover program with IT unit. Prepares relevant reports. Conducts and/or participates in a variety of meetings and/or committees. Other related duties as assigned. Requires AA or BA/BS degree in business-related field with financial accounting courses and 1 yr. responsible bookkeeping or accounting including supervisory responsibility; OR completion of high school and 4 yrs. Increasingly advanced responsibility in fiscal recordkeeping, including experience with computerized accounting systems and supervisory responsibility.
