Under the general direction of the Accounting Administrator III (Budget & Operations Manager), the Accounting Administrator II is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the day-to-day operations of the Fiscal Services Division's Budget and Administrative Accounting, Procurement, and Contract Administration Accounting units.

IN-PERSON ATTENDANCE WILL BE REQUIRED WEEKLY.
Our office is in 500 Capitol Mall, a high-rise building conveniently located in downtown Sacramento with access to public transportation (light rail and bus) and freeways (I-5, 99, and Business 80). It is one block from Downtown Commons (DOCO), the Golden 1 Center, and many restaurants. Employees also have free access to the gym located in the building. Candidates who are new to state service will be placed at the minumum of the salary range.

DIVISION:
The Fiscal Services Division safeguards CalHFA's cash and investments and provides financial information to the executive team that is vital to the management of the Agency's products and programs. Each year the Fiscal Services Division works with an independent accounting firm to prepare the audit of the Agency's financial data. The division also monitors accounts receivables, accounts payable, general ledger, fund review and bond indentures. The Fiscal Services Division is responsible for the yearly creation of fully audited financial statements and the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report (ACFR).

Have current employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable (employees who wish to be considered based on transfer eligibility must meet the minimum qualifications of the classification per DPA Rule 250)
OR BE REINSTATEMENT ELIGIBLE
Have obtained previous permanent employment with the State of California in the same classification or in a classification that is comparable.
