Job Description

ALM Automotive Group has an opening for an experienced Automotive Floorplan Administrator/ Accounting Clerk at our Corporate location! Dealership Experience is required! Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties are as follows: Process floorplan advances and pay downs. Create, maintain, and balance inventory spreadsheets. Maintain secure and well-organized inventory files. Analysis of inventories including verification of title assignments, transfer documents and collateral values Other projects as assigned. Process and verify invoices for payment in accordance with company policies and procedures. Maintain accurate records of all accounts payable transactions, ensuring proper documentation is attached. Perform account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data. Assist in month-end closing activities, including journal entries and general ledger reconciliation. Collaborate with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments. Utilize accounting software such as Tekion, CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds ... exc for data entry and reporting purposes. Provide analysis on accounts payable metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
(EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS) : Experience with business financial calculations and/or Loan Operations/Administration/dealer floorplans. Automotive or financial industry experience a plus Accounting or business administration a plus or must have equivalent experience. Must possess the ability to work in a fast-paced, high intensity environment while managing multiple job responsibilities. Must be detail oriented with strong analytical abilities, strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills as well as good time-management and initiative. Experience with Excel functionality Proven experience in accounts payable/receivable or a similar accounting role. Strong knowledge of accounting principles including double entry bookkeeping, debits & credits, and general ledger accounting. Experience with public accounting or non-profit accounting is a plus. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry tasks (10 key typing). Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively while meeting deadlines. Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and vendors. Knowledge of tax experience and governmental accounting is advantageous but not required.
