Full-time Full-time Description:
Position Summary The Accounting Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the accounting and finance team to ensure accurate, timely, and efficient financial operations. This role supports daily accounting processes, maintains financial documentation, and assists with data entry, reporting, and coordination activities. The Accounting Administrative Assistant plays a key role in supporting financial accuracy, compliance, and smooth department operations. ________________________________________ Essential Duties and Responsibilities Provide administrative support to the accounting and finance team. Assist with data entry for accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities. Process invoices, expense reports, and supporting documentation in accordance with company policies. Maintain organized financial records, files, and documentation for audits and reporting. Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including report preparation and document collection. Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors regarding invoices, payments, and documentation. Prepare routine accounting reports and spreadsheets as assigned. Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of financial information. Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Ability to follow established accounting procedures and deadlines. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Professional communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to handle sensitive financial information with discretion. Education and Experience Requirements High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in accounting, finance, or business preferred. Minimum of 1-3 years of administrative or accounting support experience. Experience in a manufacturing or multi-department environment preferred. Physical and Environmental Requirements Primarily office-based with extended periods of sitting and computer use. Occasional lifting of files or office materials up to 25 lbs. Ability to work additional hours during month-end or audit cycles as needed.
