Full-Time, Exempt Job Summary :
This position supports the financial operations of Crosslines Community Outreach by maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit accounting standards. This role plays a key part in stewarding resources responsibly to advance the organization's mission. Key Objectives for success : Complete monthly close process within 10 business days Maintain error-free general ledger with minimal audit adjustments
Essential Functions :
General Accounting Prepare and maintain general ledger entries and account reconciliations Assist with month-end and year-end close processes Maintain supporting documentation for all financial transactions Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data Accounts Payable & Receivable Process invoices, payments, and reimbursements in a timely manner Reconcile and review monthly credit card statements Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances Record donor contributions and grant revenue as needed Daily bank deposit Prepare check and credit card donation data for entry into accounting software Financial Reporting Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and internal reports Support budget tracking and variance analysis Help prepare reports for leadership, board, and committees Grant & Fund Accounting Track restricted and unrestricted funds in accordance with donor requirements Assist with grant reporting and compliance Maintain accurate fund allocations Audit & Compliance Support annual audit and 990 preparation Ensure compliance with GAAP and nonprofit accounting standards Maintain internal controls and financial policies Other Duties Assist with process improvements and system updates Provide support to finance team and cross-functional staff Perform other duties as assigned Physical context and work environment : Physical Requirements Percentage of Work Time Spent on Activity 0-24% 24-49% 50-74% 75-100%

Work Hours :
CCO offers flexible scheduling options for staff, allowing them to choose between a typical Monday through Friday schedule with five eight-hour days or a modified schedule with four nine-hour days and a half-day on Fridays. Occasionally, program needs may require different schedules, including evening or weekend hours. Supervisors will regularly discuss schedules to ensure coverage of program needs, and employees must always obtain prior approval from their supervisor to change their schedule.

Education, Experience, and Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 1-3 years of accounting experience (nonprofit experience preferred) Ability to accurately utilize ten-key Knowledge of Sage Intacct or other accounting software Knowledge of GAAP; familiarity with nonprofit accounting principles preferred High degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to provide excellent customer service, be an enthusiastic professional, and be able to build relationships with internal and external church sponsors, donors, clients, vendors and the public. Ability to communicate with others, have excellent interpersonal skills both in person and by phone, always displaying a high level of professionalism. Ability to accomplish projects with little supervision and on deadline. High proficiency using computers, including Windows operating systems and the Microsoft Office software suite, especially Excel. Applicant must successfully complete a drug screening, background investigation, and driver record check.
