SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES
The Accounting Supervisor oversees financial accounting staff and is responsible for managing accounting operational functions to accumulate and consolidate financial data for a multiple entity real estate development company. The successful candidate will be highly organized and able to manage deadlines and rapidly changing priorities in a fast-paced environment while ensuring that company policies and internal controls are followed in all areas.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Prepare, record and oversee prepaid allocations, accruals, revenue and other period end journal entries in accordance with close checklist and schedule Provide cash management support for 200 bank accounts including transfers, reconciliations, intercompany loans, daily reporting, and improve efficiencies through system optimization Prepare balance sheet reconciliations Review payroll funding and allocations; ensure payroll is recorded accurately; prepare bonus calculations Fully understand intercompany allocations including credit card processing and oversee weekly intercompany reimbursements Prepare jurisdictional tax returns and maintain business licenses Manage jurisdictional tax audits Assist with annual tax packet preparation as needed Other duties as assigned Associates degree or higher education with accounting as focus study 4 years or more experience in a fast-paced accounting environment in a supervisory role Advanced Microsoft Excel capability Highly organized and detail oriented Legally able to work within State and Federal guidelines Sense of urgency and prioritization Ability to success in a deadline driven environment Strong written and verbal communication
