Full Time Days Job Summary:
Responsible for all related staff to ensure efficient, accurate and compliant patient accounting functions such as, billing, collection, auditing, and reporting in order to generate cash flow and maintain positive team atmosphere.
Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED. Licensure, Registration and/or
Certification:
None.
Work Experience:
3 - 4 years of progressive experience in a medical billing office setting.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations. Knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding. Effective interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs supervisory oversight to subordinates regarding account resolution, insurance processing, payment deposits, and posting, overpayment processing, charge corrections, records imaging and retrieval to ensure maximization of cash flow and minimization of A/R days. Monitors all billing activities to ensure that claims are billed correctly and paid on time. Reviews and develops processes to ensure acceptable levels of productivity. Produce and analyze variety of reports related to accounting procedures. Prepares staff schedules and coordinates coverage to ensure appropriate staffing levels for daily work load. Approves and monitors time off requests, maintains attendance records and enters and approved time. Ensures successful completion of new staff training and performance audits of all staff. Maintains excellent customer relations in resolving patient, physician and third party payer issues.

Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships:
Direct Supervision of others. Prepares and gives performance evaluations. Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
