Accounting Supervisor

• Position Summary:

• Penske Transportation Solutions is seeking an Accounting Supervisor with a passion for business operations to join our team in Reading, PA.

This position will be responsible for monthly accounting activities including preparing and reviewing journal entries, conducting month-end analytics, and completing account reconciliations. The Accounting Supervisor is a result-driven professional who collaborates effectively with key business partners while supporting team members in a fast-paced environment. The Supervisor will directly supervise staff and work closely with various stakeholders to maintain, support, and improve accounting-related processes.

• Major Responsibilities:

• + Coach and mentor direct reports to build technical accounting skills, enhance professional development, and foster a collaborative team environment + Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records + Review month end analytics and provide guidance and assistance to direct reports with their analytical work + Prepare detailed account reconciliations and investigate and resolve complex open items in a timely manner + Apply GAAP principles and accounting policies within area of expertise to ensure compliance + Serve as a change agent by driving continuous process improvement initiatives + Lead and participate in special projects, as assigned •

Qualifications:

• + 5+ years of accounting experience required + Supervisory experience, a plus + Bachelor's degree in accounting required + CPA, a plus + Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders + Strong problem solving, judgment, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask and self-prioritize work. Has intermediate knowledge of financial and accounting systems + Requirements include willingness to travel as necessary, work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal history) and drug screening
