Accounting Supervisor Salary:
$95,000–$105,000 This Accounting Supervisor opening is a newly created leadership role designed for an experienced accounting professional seeking expanded responsibility, team oversight, and long‑term growth within a stable and regulated insurance environment.

Accounting Supervisor Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable and bank activity Review and approve journal entries and account reconciliations Maintain general ledger chart of accounts and prepare trial balances Prepare, analyze, and review quarterly and year‑end financial statements Ensure compliance with GAAP, statutory accounting principles (SAP), and insurance regulations Support statutory reporting requirements, including Workers' Compensation and state insurance filings Assist with year‑end audit preparation and coordination Maintain strong internal controls to safeguard company assets Identify process improvements and recommend efficiency enhancements Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching, and development for accounting staff
Accounting Supervisor Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within insurance, financial services, or a regulated industry Strong knowledge of GAAP; statutory accounting experience preferred Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting Prior supervisory or team‑lead experience High proficiency with accounting systems and Excel Property & Casualty or Workers' Compensation insurance experience strongly preferred This Accounting Supervisor role is ideal for an accounting leader seeking increased responsibility, team impact, and long‑term stability.
