Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our community association team. In this vital role, you will manage the financial records of both our Condominium Association and Rental Program while ensuring accurate bookkeeping practices that support the organization's operational and compliance needs. Your expertise will help maintain transparency, facilitate financial reporting, and uphold the integrity of our financial data. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to a vibrant community while utilizing your strong accounting skills and technical proficiency in various accounting software. Note, this is a hybrid onsite and from home position. Responsibilities Maintain and update the general ledger using accounting software such as QuickBooks, or similar platforms Perform bank reconciliations and balance sheet reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy of financial data Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently, ensuring timely payments and collections Prepare journal entries, including debits & credits, for various financial activities in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) Conduct account analysis and general ledger account reconciliation to verify data integrity Assist with payroll processing and related tax compliance requirements Generate detailed financial reports, including budget reports, financial statements, and audit documentation Reconcile and balance all accounts for Assocation and Rental Program Maintain complete filing system to suport financial records Generate 1099's and work with payroll company for W2's Additional Items as deemed appropriate Experience Proven experience in bookkeeping within a community association, non-profit organization, or similar setting which includes a rental program. Strong knowledge of corporate accounting principles, governmental accounting standards, and GAAP compliance Hands-on experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Escapia Rental Software or equivalent systems Work within the accounting function of Esapia Rental Software Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, account reconciliation, and bank statement processing Ability to perform detailed account analysis and balance sheet reconciliation accurately Experience with accounts payable/receivable management and payroll processing is preferred Knowledge of tax regulations related to non-profit or community associations is a plus Excellent understanding of financial concepts including budgeting, financial report writing, and general ledger accounting Join us in this essential role where your expertise will directly impact the smooth operation of our community association.
