Bookkeeping & Administrative Assistant - Job Cost Accounting (Hourly) San Francisco / Hybrid We are a growing construction management firm seeking a detail-oriented Bookkeeping and Administrative Assistant with experience in job cost accounting. This hourly role supports multiple construction projects by tracking costs, processing invoices, and assisting with general administrative functions.
Responsibilities:
Perform bookkeeping and data entry in QuickBooks Track job costs by project, phase, and cost code Process accounts payable and accounts receivable Manage lien releases and contractor insurance verification Reconcile bank and credit card statements Maintain accurate project cost reports and budgets Prepare and update Excel spreadsheets for reporting to real estate investment firm clients Coordinate with project managers, vendors, and subcontractors Support administrative and document management tasks
Qualifications:
Bookkeeping or accounting experience required Experience with construction job cost accounting Experience in construction management, contracting, or real estate strongly preferred Proficiency in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines Compensation Hourly rate range $35-55/hour commensurate with experience Flexible schedule with opportunity for growth
