This is a hybrid role working Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday on-site reporting into the Support Center at Legacy West in Plano Texas. About the role The Supervisor of General Accounting oversees a team of accountants to maintain the company's financial integrity through rigorous month-end closing , account reconciliations, and adherence to GAAP . They are responsible for reviewing journal entries and account reconciliations, and implementing internal controls to minimize financial risk and ensure audit readiness. Responsibilities Supervise a team of 3-5 staff accountants that are responsible for revenue, cash, accrued expenses, prepaids, receivables and other general accounting categories. Review journal entries and ensure the team is completing timely and accurately Supervise the reconciliation of balance sheet accounts, ensuring that variances are investigated and resolved on schedule. Perform trend analysis on the Trial Balance to identify anomalies, coding errors, or missing expenses before final reports are issued. Ensure all accounting operations comply with legal regulations, internal policies, and GAAP standards. Assist with periodic audit requests Ensure compliance with internal controls. Knowledge, skills & abilities requirements Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required Minimum of 3-5 years experience in financial reporting and systems Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Excel and Word Competencies & attributes Flexible & Agile Adapter

The work environment generally involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, retail stores, and residences or commercial vehicles, e.g., use of safe work practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, observance of fire regulations and traffic signals, etc. The work area is adequately lighted, heated, and ventilated. The work is sedentary. Typically, the employee may sit comfortably to do the work. However, there may be some walking, standing, bending, and occasionally requires carrying, moving and setting up of computers, for example desktops, monitors, printers, and other small hardware in the testing lab.
