Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Accounts Receivable/Sales Admin to join our finance team. In this vital role, you will manage the full cycle of accounts receivable processes, support sales administration functions, and ensure accurate financial record-keeping. Your proactive approach will help streamline revenue cycle management, enhance customer service, and maintain compliance with accounting standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your expertise in financial concepts, accounting software, and administrative support within a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Process and monitor accounts receivable transactions using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or PeopleSoft to ensure timely collection of payments. Reconcile customer accounts regularly, perform account analysis, and resolve discrepancies through effective negotiation and communication. Prepare and review journal entries related to revenue recognition, debits & credits, and double entry bookkeeping in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Assist with invoicing, billing, and collections for various sectors including medical billing, government contracts, or non-profit organizations. Maintain accurate data entry of customer information, payment details, and transaction records with high attention to detail. Support the revenue cycle management process by coordinating with sales teams and providing analysis on outstanding receivables. Ensure compliance with SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) controls and internal audit requirements during all financial activities. Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client inquiries via phone or email while maintaining professional phone etiquette. Qualifications Proven experience in accounts receivable, accounts payable, or related accounting roles within a corporate or public accounting environment. Strong understanding of financial concepts such as CPT coding (for medical billing), ICD-10 coding standards, and governmental accounting practices. Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar platforms; familiarity with Quicken is a plus. Knowledge of technical accounting principles including GAAP compliance and SOX controls. Excellent analysis skills for account reconciliation, account analysis, and financial data interpretation. Skilled in data entry tasks such as 10 key typing and journal entries with high accuracy. Ability to handle negotiation effectively for collections while maintaining positive customer relationships. Strong organizational skills combined with effective communication skills to support team collaboration and customer service excellence.
