Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounting Clerk/Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is responsible for managing essential accounting functions and providing vital administrative support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in a dealership setting, and a passion for accuracy and efficiency. Duties Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of all dealership transactions, including cash sales, repair orders, and commission payments. Assist with accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment reconciliation and ensuring timely and accurate payments to suppliers and service providers. Assist with general ledger accounting, journal entries, account reconciliation, and balance sheet reconciliation Ensure compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) standards in all financial activities Requirements Proven experience in accounting or bookkeeping Strong knowledge of financial concepts such as debits & credits, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, and general ledger reconciliation Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10 key typing) and attention to detail Ability to perform account analysis, reconcile accounts accurately, and understand complex financial data Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines and maintain smooth operations. Maintaining high standards of ethical behavior in handling financial data Collaborating with colleagues while maintaining a positive team-oriented mindset Knowledge of GAAP standards.
