  • E Job Duties Provide statewide oversight, guidance, and support to DOC stakeholders in regard to financial/accounting practices and processes as well as the Commonwealth's Automated To Accounting System (Cardinal) in accordance with established Federal, State, and agency policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Supervises and reviews the work of fiscal staff to ensure compliance with DOA, DOC, and APA policies and procedures as they relate to disbursement/receivable transactions for assigned agencies. Reviews all work of fiscal staff to ensure compliance with the Prompt Payment Act. Position is responsible for the maintenance and review of filing system documentation. Maintains responsibility for project work as assigned by the Director of Financial Services and the Assistant Accounting Manager. Actively involved in creating a positive, healthy, diverse and inclusive working environment. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated working experience with GAAP, accounts payable, and accounts receivable practices; use of various software programs including Microsoft Word and Excel in recording, retrieving, and maintaining accounts payable and receivable transactions and records. Recent experience applying and adapting established accounting methods to a variety of fiscal transactions and records. Recent demonstrated experience related to ARMICS review and certification. Experience supervising, training, and reviewing the work of support staff, and demonstrated appropriate use of oral and written communication skills.
