  • G Job Duties The organizational objective is accurate and timely processing of documents and reports and maintenance of agency financial documents to be in compliance with the Virginia Prompt Payment Act, established applicable federal, state and agency policies, procedures and guidelines.
Supervises and reviews the work of fiscal staff to ensure compliance with DOA, DOC, and APA policies and procedures as they relate to disbursement transactions for assigned agencies. Reviews all work of fiscal staff to ensure compliance with the Prompt Payment Act. Position is responsible for the maintenance and review of the filing system documentation. Maintains responsibility for project work as assigned by the Capital Outlay Fin Supervisor and IEMU Management Team. Minimum Qualifications Demonstrated working knowledge/experience with G.A.A.P. and accounts payable and receivable practices; use of EDP techniques including Microsoft Word and Excel in recording, retrieving and maintaining accounts payable and receivable transactions and records. Recent demonstrated experience applying and adapting established accounting methods to a variety of fiscal transactions and records. Recent demonstrated experience related to ARMICS review and certification. Knowledge and experience to supervise, train and review the work of support staff and demonstrated appropriate use of oral and written communication skills. Ability to complete the Virginia Ethics Council Conflict of Interest (COI) filing within two (2) business days of hire and annually thereafter, in accordance with the Code of Virginia § 2.2-3100. Ability to complete COI training within two (2) months of hire and every other year thereafter, as required by Code of Virginia § 2.2-3132. Additional Considerations Prefer strong skills and experience using Cardinal, Microsoft Office Excel, Word and PowerPoint, recent supervisory experience; demonstrated competence in state financial accounting systems.
