Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Supervisor/Manager to support financial operations for a hi tech engineering organization in Chatsworth, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can lead day-to-day payables activities, maintain accurate invoice processing, and help ensure timely disbursements. The role requires a hands-on leader who can oversee AP workflows, strengthen controls, and coordinate payment activity with precision.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead daily accounts payable operations, ensuring invoices are reviewed, coded correctly, and processed within established timelines.
  • Supervise and support AP staff, providing guidance on workload priorities, accuracy standards, and issue resolution.
  • Oversee check run preparation and execution to ensure vendors are paid accurately and on schedule.
  • Manage ACH payment activity and confirm electronic transactions are completed in compliance with internal procedures.
  • Review invoice coding for proper account allocation and approval alignment before payment processing.
  • Monitor aging reports, investigate discrepancies, and work with internal teams and vendors to resolve outstanding items.
  • Maintain organized payment documentation and strengthen adherence to financial controls, policies, and audit requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve accounts payable efficiency and support updates to workflows or payment processes when needed.
