Job Description
Accounts Payable (AP) Manager - Skokie, IL A growing healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join our corporate accounting team in Skokie, IL. This role supports the continued growth and operational needs of a multi‑facility organization by overseeing accounts payable operations and ensuring consistency, accuracy, and efficiency across entities. This position is ideal for a hands‑on AP leader who enjoys managing day‑to‑day operations, supporting staff, and working closely with accounting and operational teams. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily accounts payable activities across multiple facilities Supervise and support AP staff to ensure timely and accurate invoice processing Review invoice coding and approvals for accuracy and compliance with policies Manage check runs, ACH payments, and vendor payments Monitor and maintain AP aging reports and payment schedules Reconcile vendor statements and assist with resolving discrepancies Serve as a point of contact for AP‑related questions from vendors and internal teams Support month‑end close activities related to accounts payable Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed Prepare reports and analyze AP data using Excel and accounting systems Support consistency and efficiency in AP workflows and procedures Qualifications 5+ years of Accounts Payable experience, preferably in healthcare or long-term care Prior management or supervisory experience preferred Experience working in a multi-site environment strongly preferred Strong understanding of accounting principles and AP processes Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including PivotTables and VLOOKUPs Experience with accounting systems such as Sage Intacct preferred Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
