Accounts Payable Manager / A/P Specialist Premier Electrical - Minnesota Full-Time Position | $55k-65k Depending on Experience Premier Electrical, a leading electrical union contractor in Minnesota, is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accounts Payable Manager to join our team. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of the accounts payable process while supporting daily office operations. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced construction environment. Position Summary The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee vendor management, invoice processing, payment administration, and related accounting functions. This role requires accuracy, attention to detail, professionalism, and strong communication skills when working with vendors, project teams, and office staff. Key Responsibilities Accounts Payable & Accounting Manage accounts payable email communications. Set up and maintain vendor accounts. Complete and process vendor credit applications. Enter vendor invoices and purchase orders (POs). Process and track lien waivers. Prepare and manage weekly check runs, prepaid expenses, and manual payment entries. Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies. Handle vendor inquiries regarding payment status and account information. Manage Certificates of Insurance (COIs), update information in Spectrum, and maintain accurate filing records. Manage and control use tax reporting, compliance, and related documentation, ensuring accurate tax accruals, and adherence to all applicable regulations. Assist with expense reporting and cost tracking. Administrative Support Assist with answering incoming phone calls. Help monitor and respond to the front door buzzer. Serve as backup for incoming and outgoing mail processing. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Required Minimum 3 years of accounting and/or accounts payable experience . Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite , including Excel, Word, and Outlook. Strong data entry skills with exceptional attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines. Preferred Experience in the construction industry . Experience using Spectrum/Viewpoint software . Knowledge of purchase orders, vendor invoice management, use tax reporting, and lien waiver processing. What We Offer Competitive wages.
