$69,257.57-$103,897.17 Position Summary The Supervisor of Patient Accounts assists in overseeing, coordinating, and managing daily operations related to billing and collection of third-party accounts. This role compiles and analyzes data to measure staff performance, accounts receivable, and progress toward financial goals. Identifies trends, recommends process improvements, and provides technical guidance to Revenue Cycle staff on complex billing and follow-up activities. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Ensures accounts are billed and followed accurately and timely Resolves routine staff questions and escalates complex issues Updates and implements policies, procedures, and controls Analyzes staff productivity and communicates trends Participates in performance discussions and staff training Maintains training materials and staff records Ensures compliance with billing and reimbursement regulations Leads payer meetings and resolves billing issues Monitors vendor performance and reconciles accounts Assists with recruiting, training, and evaluating staff Prepares reports and participates in special projects Supervises billing to third-party agencies Reviews financial reports and bad debt preparation Ensures compliance with financial assistance policies Education & Experience Requirements High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or Accounting preferred Minimum of 3 years patient accounts experience Knowledge of hospital billing and insurance reimbursement Familiarity with office equipment and computer systems Medical terminology helpful CPFSS certification required during onboarding Core Competencies Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to handle confidential information with integrity Ability to remain composed under stress Physical/Mental Demands Office-based role with frequent computer use Ability to move within office and communicate effectively IND2
