Position Overview The Accounts Payable Manager will oversee the full AP lifecycle, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and scalable processes. This role requires a proactive problem-solver who can work independently, streamline workflows, and leverage modern tools to enhance spend management and visibility. Key Responsibilities Own the full accounts payable lifecycle, including invoice processing, coding, approvals, and payments Manage AP systems and tools, including corporate card programs, bill pay, reimbursements, and spend controls Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices and payments Identify and resolve discrepancies, errors, and policy issues prior to month-end close Maintain and enhance AP policies, procedures, and internal controls Partner with cross-functional teams to support spend management and financial discipline Oversee vendor setup, W-9 collection, and 1099 compliance Support month-end and year-end close, including reconciliations and accruals Monitor AP aging and cash disbursements to assist with cash flow planning Identify and implement process improvements and workflow automation opportunities Serve as the primary point of contact for AP-related inquiries and escalations Qualifications Proven experience managing accounts payable in a fast-paced environment Strong understanding of GAAP and AP best practices Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite preferred) Hands-on experience with modern AP or expense management platforms (e.g., Ramp or similar tools) Advanced Excel and/or Google Sheets skills Strong attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and take ownership of processes Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 3+ years of progressive accounts payable or accounting experience Experience supporting audits and external reporting Warren Averett is an equal opportunity employer.
