2 days onsite / 3 days remote About the Opportunity A growing organization is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Manager to lead and enhance its AP function. This is a newly created role designed to support continued company growth and provide dedicated leadership over accounts payable operations, team development, and process improvement initiatives. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building structure, improving workflows, and making a direct impact. This position will work on-site 2 days/week and pay starts at $75k and goes up based on experience. Key Responsibilities Lead a team of approximately 5 AP professionals Oversee full-cycle accounts payable operations including invoice processing, approvals, and payment execution Manage vendor relationships and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues Drive process improvements, including workflow optimization and automation initiatives Support ongoing system enhancements and upgrades within the AP function Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and procedures Identify process gaps and implement solutions to improve efficiency and accuracy Train, mentor, and develop team members while providing ongoing performance feedback Supervise both in-office and remote staff, prioritizing workload and ensuring deadlines are met Collaborate cross-functionally with procurement and internal departments to streamline workflows Monitor adherence to AP processes and address areas of non-compliance Qualifications 5+ years of accounts payable experience with a strong understanding of full-cycle AP processes 2-3+ years of supervisory experience managing teams (3-5 employees or more preferred) Experience developing or improving AP processes, policies, and workflows Experience with system implementations, upgrades, or integrations strongly preferred Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset with the ability to improve existing processes Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams Systems Experience with Yardi or similar ERP systems preferred Work Environment & Perks Hybrid schedule with flexibility Collaborative, team-oriented culture focused on engagement and continuous improvement Opportunity to step into a highly visible leadership role Ability to shape and modernize AP processes within a growing organization Does this sound like something you would be interested in? Pay Details:
