Job Description

Supervise, mentor, and develop a team of Accounts Payable associates, including temporary staff during peak seasons. Assign and balance workloads, ensure coverage during absences, and maintain service levels. Support onboarding, training, and ongoing development initiatives. Partner with management to establish annual goals and performance objectives. Deliver excellent customer service to internal stakeholders across all levels of the organization. Oversee daily AP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of high-volume invoices, expense reports, and account coding. Monitor workflows and ensure deadlines are met, including month-end and year-end close. Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and processing issues. Reconcile vendor statements, outstanding checks, and debit balances. Process priority and special-handling invoices as needed. Manage annual 1099 reporting to ensure compliance with IRS deadlines. Serve as a key contributor in the implementation of a new ERP system, including process mapping, testing, and training support. Utilize experience with ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Lawson, PeopleSoft, NetSuite, Intacct, or similar) to optimize AP workflows and system efficiency. Identify opportunities for system enhancements and lead continuous improvement initiatives. Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and documented procedures. Monitor accounts and collaborate with vendors and internal departments to resolve discrepancies. Track and report on key AP metrics and ensure departmental KPIs are achieved. Support tax filings, audits, and annual financial audits. Manage vendor relationships and ensure effective communication and issue resolution. Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field (Bachelor's degree preferred). 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume environment. 2+ years of supervisory experience with demonstrated success managing staff and workflow. Experience working with ERP systems; involvement in ERP implementations or major upgrades strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of integrated AP systems and expense processing functions. Proven ability to lead through change, particularly during system or process transitions. Strong analytical, auditing, and problem-solving skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and overall strong technical skills. Ability to identify and implement process improvements using sound judgment. Competitive Compensation +

$65,000 - $80,000, annual bonus opportunity
