Key Responsibilities:

Assist in managing day-to-day accounts receivable operations, including customer service, collections, and cash application Monitor customer accounts (dispensaries, distributors, wholesalers) to ensure timely payments and resolve discrepancies Review AR aging reports and proactively follow up on past-due accounts Ensure all transactions comply with California cannabis regulations (e.g., licensing requirements, track-and-trace systems like METRC) Coordinate with sales, compliance, and distribution teams to resolve invoicing or delivery discrepancies Support preparation of financial reports related to receivables, revenue, and cash flow Maintain accurate documentation for audits and regulatory inspections Assist in managing credit risk by evaluating customer payment histories and setting credit limits Support month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5+ years of accounts receivable or accounting experience Experience in cannabis, highly regulated industries, or CPG preferred Familiarity with California cannabis regulations and compliance requirements is a strong plus Experience with ERP/accounting systems Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Strong understanding of GAAP and revenue recognition principles

Preferred Skills:

Experience working with cannabis compliance systems (e.g., METRC) Ability to manage high-volume, multi-entity transactions Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities High attention to detail and accuracy
