Job Description
Position Overview Manages the full-cycle AP process with support staff, ensuring timely vendor payments and compliance with internal controls and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance (SOX). This position will lead the AP staff, overseeing invoice processing, reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies. Excellent customer service and support to external and internal operations is an important component of this position. This includes customer phone calls, inquiries, and research. Key Responsibilities Team leadership through hiring, training, mentoring and reviewing the performance of AP staff Maintain effective interpersonal/communication skills Directing daily operations Manage month end close responsibilities and deadlines AP reconciliations Process improvements to improve efficiency and reduce invoice-to-pay cycles Vendor relations Vendor set ups and verifications Approve daily accounts payable batches Ensure data accuracy Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required. Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance or business administration would be ideal 3-5+ years' experience in accounts payable with supervisory/lead role Proficiency with ERP systems (SAP would be a plus) MS Excel skills Strong attention to detail, leadership skills, analytical problem solving and effective communication The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently. Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required especially at month end. Work Environment This is a full-time on-site office position, Monday through Friday.
