In this position, you will contribute to internal audits, fraud investigations, and financial and operational compliance reviews that help ensure effective and efficient business practices. You'll analyze transactions, records, and processes, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and help develop meaningful recommendations that support sound decision-making. This role also partners in building and enhancing quality assurance programs to ensure the accuracy and integrity of fiscal and administrative controls. Working both independently and in collaboration with senior audit staff, you'll apply professional judgment, analytical thinking, and established audit practices to evaluate complex issues and deliver clear, actionable insights. Essential Functions 30%- Obtain, review, and evaluate documentation/evidence/support from varies systems, files and/or individuals to draw a conculsion on the effectiveness of the control or item under review. 30%
- Communicate both verbally and in-writing items necessary for review, status of such review, and outcome of the review so that the auditee clearly and concisly understands the purpose and results of such review. 30%
- Execute critical thinking skills to determine if documentation/evidence/support adequately supports control effectiveness and compiles recommendations to close any gaps or issues. 10%
- Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in accounting, auditing, business, finance, risk management, computer science/computer information systems or directly related field and two (2) years of experience in internal auditing, governmental auditing, accounting, or financial management that includes the use of computerized accounting and financial systems.
CIA, CGAP

Master's Degree One year of relevant full-time MCCCD experience during the previous two years Special Working Conditions Ability to drive to conduct fieldwork and/or attend meetings. Potential for evening or weekend hours based upon audit assignment.Working Conditions:
Work is routinely performed in an indoor, office environment. May need to work outside, in warehouses or dusty/hot/cold locations based upon assignment. Positions in this class typically require: stooping, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, keying, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, seeing and repetitive motions.Sedentary Work:
