Job Description
The Auditor II is responsible for conducting audits of cashiering operations and gaming activities to ensure accuracy, compliance, and integrity of financial records. This position supports the accounting department by evaluating the effectiveness of internal controls, reviewing financial procedures, and ensuring adherence to applicable gaming laws and regulations.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Sorts, verifies, and processes jackpot and fill tickets, and balances both hard and soft count drops. Prepares daily drop and win activity reports, ensuring all documentation complies with established internal controls. Performs operational and financial audits within the casino, evaluating processes and accounting systems for effectiveness and compliance. Conducts reviews of gaming areas to verify compliance with federal, state, and tribal gaming laws and internal policies. Demonstrates working knowledge of Title 31 requirements and assists in preparing necessary reports to ensure regulatory compliance. Examines slot meter data through various testing procedures to determine machine accuracy and detect irregularities. Collaborates with department leadership to provide findings and recommend improvements based on audit results. Performs other duties as assigned.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but may provide guidance or support to other team members.QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to work effectively under frequent time constraints and adapt work hours based on audit schedules. Self-motivated and capable of performing responsibilities with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and sound judgment. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. EDUCATION and/orEXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field required. Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in internal or external auditing, accounting, or related financial functions. Solid understanding of auditing standards, internal control frameworks, and risk-based audit practices. Experience performing audits, preparing workpapers, and documenting findings in accordance with professional standards. Proficiency with audit tools and ERP systems (e.g., Oracle, SAP, UKG Pro, or similar) preferred. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Experience in a regulated industry, preferably within hospitality, gaming, or a high-volume operational environment, strongly preferred.LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS
Must have successfully completed a background check and obtained a gaming license issued by the Morongo Gaming Agency, as required.LANGUAGE SKILLS

This is a dynamic, fast-paced environment that requires the ability to adapt and perform under pressure. The casino operates with moderate to loud noise levels and is a smoking environment, requiring team members to work comfortably in these conditions.WORKING HOURS
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa operates 24 hours a day, 365 days a year; therefore, flexibility in scheduling is essential. Team members must be available to work shifts that may include evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
